Yeah, your before pic looks good. You definitely have the "squat" going on now. Mine looked pretty similar.

What's funny is that before the AAL, my measurements were dead level when measured from center of hub to fender (22" all around), but if you measured the front of the cab vs. the back of the cab to the ground, the front was still slightly higher than the back. I assume the arch of the wheel well in the back is higher than the one in the front.

Dont forget to get new longer center pins for the leafs. I didnt think about it until I had it apart. I thought I would drive mine around with the back end lower for awhile, but it bugged the crap out of me, and I did it the next weekend.

Well, my truck is at the dealer now. Dropped off a set of 5100s yesterday. We'll see how it goes. My frame is the bottom one.

Since May. Funny thing is i was told three months, asked about my frame status in September and was told the frame wouldn't be in until the end of the year. The dealer called me last week and told me the frame was in and to bring it in on Monday (yesterday).

Took my 06 in today and it failed..Had 2 holes in frame...Was told they have to get approval first.. I was like What? I ask for a receipt to show it was in for frame inspection and he said they cant do that until they get an approval first...kind of sketchy to me.. I am wondering if i should go back and ask for something on paper stating frame failed inspection...What do you guys think?

Also I would have the dealer document the current status of your truck before it gets the work done. As with others I had to fight the dealer on things (Mechanical issues) they tried to say were present before they did the work.

On my truck, they tried to charge me to trouble shoot the TPS system and airbag system because they didn't work after they were finished. I firmly explained that the truck was brought in for an oil change and everything worked fine. When I got the truck back, they didn't fasten the front bumper skirt assembly and it almost came of on the high way.

He said approval from Toyota for frame replacement...It is not a recall..So they need approval first..... My point is i want some proof that it failed frame inspection and will require frame replacement...

It's a recall, case by case basis, with a ton of frames either getting replaced or sprayed. How could it not be?

It may have to do where the holes are and how big. They still should replace it.

My 2006 spent half its life in Palm Springs, the last place you would find water... LOL It only spent 4 years in KS with the snow and salt and was rusted pretty bad.

They're estimating it'll take 2 days to inspect. They told me the same thing. With mine.... The first place they looked ( under drivers side door)... They poked a hole thru it and didn't have to go any further. They called me the same day to tell me it failed and would be submitted to Toyota. From what I understand... They can or will take the bed off to inspect the frame if they need to. That 2 days might also cover inspection time OR the time it takes to apply the undercoating ( if the frame passes).

My frame replacement too about 5 days and that included a weekend in there.
