i was using the ebay lights for my fogs, they threw light ALL over the place. i like these LEDs. they light is very controlled, flat beam thats very wide. i did not need to trim the tabs.

the Red wire on the light gets matched with the green wire from the truck.

i think the lens is acrylic, would have been nice if it were glass but the lights are a very good value for the money.

had to adjust passenger side down just a hair but they are easy to align. either reach up there w a stubby, or have a VERY long phillips head that will go through the adjustment hole in the under side of the wheel well faring and reach up enough to the adjuster screw.

the light is very much a pure white. matched my FX-R projectors well which are around 5000k.

my favorite part of these is how cool they run temperature wise, i could feel practically no heat from the lens side and i think thats awesome.

it would have been nice if the plugs came prewired, but they are easy to figure out. just dont insert the wrong pin into the wrong slot its a bear to get back out without damaging anything.

There is a screw hole in the plastic fender liner directly below the fog light vertical adjustment. But you need a REALLY long driver. Or just pull the fender liner away and adjust them w a normal driver so they are aligned vertically. Do it similar to how you align headlights. Pull up close to a wall. Make sure height is about right and they are even. Back up and recheck / adjust / repeat. There's more detailed info if you search but fog lights aren't as specific as headlights.

I agree, however the H11 plug is not wired the same for every vehicle that can use these, unfortunately.

    Thank you.

If I look at the back of the housing I see a gold spring. Is it safe to assume that the screw is at the bottom end of that spring?

I am going to go to the old hardware store for a long screwdriver -- Phillips?

Has anyone actually been in dense fog with these and how did they work?

Why doesn't everyone have these? I just got directed here after breaking one of my stock fog lights and this seems like the kind of thing that should be a staple on every build that's still using the stock bumper. Is there a downside that I'm not seeing?

Yes, the downside is your wallet will become thinner.

Mine came in today. Still debating on applying the yellow Laminex at the moment, but these lights look nice. Can't wait to get these on the truck! Great write up @cemuscg

Mine arrived last week but because of the way they were packaged (not enough bubble wrap to keep them from sliding around inside the box) the plastic bracket was broken on one of them. I emailed pictures to TRS and they are sending a replacement bracket.

Still need to install mine :annoyed:

Will be following this write up.

Anybody have an issue with Laminex melting with these leds?? I've heard of it melting the film with a regular halogen bulb in the fogs but wondering....I doubt the leds make enough heat.

Anyways I like how fog lights look when they are yellow, just don't want it to peel up or anything....suggestions?

Did you follow this write up?

I started to do it the other day....was pulling back the wheel well liner and just got kinda discouraged for some reason.

I'm not the best at automotive type shit so yeah. I don't want to jack anything up on my first new vehicle and honestly a truck that I'm crazy about keeping nice.

Would love for somebody to be there with me that knows what's up while I do it so they could help me learn during the process

Did mine months ago. Didn't even know there was a write up. They're easy to install. But now I know there is an aiming procedure.
