I think I know what you are asking...

If you have a PreRunner or a 4x4, you can fit up to a 265/75/r16 tire and rim. I am not sure about a basic though. You could probably go bigger but it would be worth it to lift the truck if you really want the bigger tires.

My truck is not lifted (it is a PreRunner), and I have 265/75/r16 duratracs on it with MB TKO rims. They fit fine, but they did rub a little at first. I ended up taking a dremel tool and shaving off a small bit of fender so that the tire wouldn't catch at a half-lock.

There is always a little cringe when I take a steep incline/decline, because the tire fills up the wheel well so much it loses some travel room. Personally, I will probably go a little smaller when its time to get knew tires so I don't worry about it on the trails.

hi everyone, i have a 2011 regular cab 4x4. Im looking for information on tires, right now the truck has dynopro atm in 265/75r16. No too big a fan of the tires, don't do all that well in snow or mud. They are great on the road and only weight 40 pounds per tire. Im looking for a tire that is good on and off road. Im thinking of trying 235/85r16, which should help out some with snow and mud performance. My problem is, im having a tough time finding a tire that doesnt weight 50 pounds or more. That seems like a lot of weight to add and could possibly kill my gas mileage. Am i wrong and 50 pound tire wont affect gas mileage that much? What kind of mileage are people getting with bfgoodrich ko2's or cooper st maxx's? Thanks you for the help.

Thank you mightymouse for the info, you have a very nice truck too. I'm leaning towards getting the ko2's in a 235/85r16. How do you like yours?

Thanks, I will be sure to check the speedometer once I get the tires.

Another question I have is, has anyone put ome 883x coils on the regular cab? How much lift did you get? I know some website say a 2 gen tacoma would gain 1.5-1.75 inches of lift. I'm thinking a regular cab may gain a little more than, because it is a lighter truck. Thanks again for the help.

I have the 884X and they are okay. Sagged a lot over time. That and I'm running no sway bar. I would save and get fox or kings in extended travel with new UCA's. That's the best bang for your buck right there.
