I like the Blue Jays, their offense is probably one if not the most potent out there. Im not sold on their pitching staff though. Price, Buerhle, Dickey, ?, ?. Donaldson is a beast, i watched him in Oakland and Beane is an idiot for trading him away. If Bautista is hot and Encarnacion takes the bird for a walk, itll be an easy two games. The rest, might be a little shaky.

Is Tulo back for playoffs? If i had a team in the playoffs, id be scared of Toronto.

Tulo is back. He played lightly in the last two games and was solid with his usual flawless defense.

Actually you are missing the best pitcher I think the Jays have going into the playoffs. Stroman. He's been lights out since returning from injury and, since he was hurt for 80% of the year, he's barely warmed up. I think we will see Price, Stroman, and Dickey get most of the starts with Estrada worked in if a series goes long. Buerhle looks tired, I don't know how much they will use him. I agree though that the weakest point on the Jays is the pitching, though even their pitching has been impressive for most of the back stretch of the season.

Osuna has been lights out when he can control his fastball. He's still a kid though so who knows how he will handle the playoffs. Not to mention the jays are way too RHP heavy and will have to use liability Loup at least a few times in mid inning relief.

so you may get lucky because the short series the first go around, but the longer championship series and WS might cause a little problems for the later games.

For sure. That's definitely their weakness.

Jays have Price (ACE), Stroman (#1 pitcher if he didn't get hurt this year, he has been huge since he came back from surgery), Estrada (career year - will get some Cy Young votes) and Dickey (2012 NL CY Young winner) who has been pitching great for the last 3/4 of the year. His record is skewed, because he had zero run support the first half.

Mid relievers are great. Osuna will be the ? mark, lets hope he kills it.

Everyone talks about 1-4 batters, but Martin & Tulo would be 1-4 on any other team, Revere has the most hits since AS break, and Pillar and Goins have been tearing it up. Colabello is a great pinch hitter. Their only weakness is Smoak, with him it's usually HR or SO. Defensively, when all the starters are playing, there is not one weakness on the field, they are that good.

Yup, I agree whole heartedly. Except about the RHP LHP balance in the mid innings. Loup will have to pitch and he sucks donkey dong.

As for the batters that's why I said you can't pitch around them. Collabello, Martin, and Tulo all hit power and get on base. None of them are top 4. Smoak and Goins have even hit in the clutch really well. Just look at Smoaks record in the last 3 innings when they are in a close game.

The best part is that the Blue Jays D is there best attribute. That's scary on a team that lead on offense. If you hit within any sort of range to Donaldson, Tulo, or Smoak you may as well just go back to the dug out.

A little of this and a little of that.
Tough loss for the Pirates. Arrieta is on top of his game at the moment. Might fair well for the Cubs...who knows.

You'd better be back next year. You're the official Pirates cheering squad. This thread wouldn't be the same without you.

One can never have too many light bars.
Sounds like Donaldson passed his concussion test. Hopefully Joey Bat's injury was just a cramp. So hopefully the heart of the lineup will be back Friday.

Yeah, the Fan in TO (radio station) is reporting that both will be back tomorrow. Price didn't bring his usual A game today. Too bad.

LOL!I'll back my good friend who is a Dodgers fan!Don't have any friends who are Giants fan's in the playoffs or not.My Pirates had the 2nd best record in all of baseball and should still be playing but i'm not going to complain about the MLB format.Would rather the Dodger's represented instead of the two other team's from my NL central or the Met's.
