Have driven this truck for ten years or more and have never heard this audible warning before. Started a week ago. Sounds like a watch beeping alarm and last just a few seconds. Goes off when driving or sitting still, goes off when key is in ignition and when key is not in ignition. No warning lights on dash to go with it. Seems to be coming from around steering column area. Don't really know how to research it since I have no idea what it's trying to tell me

What I'm about to say is not to insult you or anything like that. A few years ago I thought my vehicle was sounding a warning but I eventually found it was my new cell phone. A second situation I encountered was when I got a new remote car starter I found that it gave a very low volume buzz when it needed re-charging. Just saying, at least for me, you never know.

My first thought when I heard it was that it was my watch or phone. I ruled those out, then thought my joking co-worker had put something in there for fun. Ruled that out. I just looked through my manual again and it's not very clear but the closest possibility is ABS. The ABS light does not come on when the ignition is turned on like the other lights but I really can't say that it has ever come on to my knowledge. This was my husband's truck who passed away recently but I know he would have mentioned this to me if it had happened to him. The strangest thing is that it beeps at all times as I said. Running, not running, in motion, sitting in driveway, key in ignition, key out of ignition. Maybe just a loose wire somewhere but just inconsistent. And, no offense taken, canuck guy.
