Limiteds were the first ones to arrive where I live. There's a white limited that's been sitting on the lot here for a while. It has that ugly brown interior that I don't think anyone likes lol.

    This.

The only thing weird is how poorly the email is written but most auto salespeople aren't literary geniuses. They probably just don't have a Limited slated for their allotment. Of course, he/she could have offered to try to find a Limited model from another dealer but I am assuming that is nearly impossible with the limited(no pun intended) supply available that they would be able to get one.

I was just trying to give the poor schmuck the benefit of the doubt.

I have seen quite a few entertaining responses from "sales professionals" in my area as well. Really loved the one yesterday. Guy says he has 11 years in the business and proceeds to tell me not to trust invoice prices published on the web. His invoice was nearly $1200 higher than the invoice here and eight other sites. Still waiting for his response and it has now been 23 hours 50 minutes... Crickets...

One time I was looking at a Tacoma and I was like "looks like it doesn't have the locker though" and the salesman started looking under the seat "normally they'd be under here but I guess you could use the glovebox"

    I left quickly.

Thanks for your opinion on how I should spend my time ... I appreciate the fact that we live in a free country.

    WTF is this!!!!

Are we in 1995? These "sales" men or women need to enter the 2015... Hell even 2005 is fine...

    Shame! Shame! Shame!

Huh. I was just there last week to test drive a Sport. One of the salesmen I was BSing with knew a ton about the truck.

Anyway if you're really interested in the Limited you could go to a dealer and have them change their allocation to what you want, unless you really want to make sure you like it before you order it...

Shit, as far as dealers and sales folk not having a clue about the 2016. I have educated three of them. Should have seen the last one! Had dudes coming out from behind the glass telling me I couldn't get a color keyed bumper on an OR. He even brought out his "options paperwork' The actual sales guy I was working with got frustrated with his own managers, he knew, I knew what I was talking about. Anyway, once the sales manager was proven wrong, he left pissed off. I was not combative in the least. I was just confident in the knowledge I had obtained from this forum and my own research. As they say, knowledge is power. No need to be a dick, cocky, arrogant nor belittle someone (even though you may want to :) ) just keep calm, no ur shit and if they don't wanna work with you, move on.

Just go back and ask him this... "If I can locate one, will you sell it to me for your invoice cost?"

That's the issue. If you locate one you are most likely going to have to buy it from that location. Tough to swap dealer to dealer when one dealer does not have something comparable to swap with.

yeah swapping at this moment will probably be a long shot. most places dont want to sell at less than msrp let alone give it to another dealership to profit on.
