He's using a Cobra 75 handheld so the mic plugs into a little power box that the antenna coax also plugs into, so it's not a direct wire into the antenna. Midland makes a handheld that does but I've read less than stellar reviews about it compared to the cobra.

Made a custom steel plate for my cb radio to be recessed into the cup holder area and then bed-lined it. Turned our great. Ran all the wires under the carpet. I know.... I have only like 11 cup holders now

Towed with him for the first time from Norfolk, VA to Pensacola, FL. He did great with the 3300 lbs behind him! I averaged 14 mpg the whole way down.

Thanks! I just got stationed here but so far I'm liking it. I was here in 2012 for school, but is a whole different animal being here as an 'adult'

I finally got around to cutting off the 2"+ extra length on the rear axle U-bolts. I installed 1" blocks a while back and put on new U bolts that would have accommodated 3" or more.

I also bead blasted a TRD front skid plate to remove paint that wasn't sticking very well, then put on an epoxy "aluminum" paint, followed by plastidip "matte clear" finish to make it look like bare aluminum. Will be mounting the skid plate next time I have a bit of free time.

Then I spent a little time searching Ebay, Craigslist, and TW classifieds looking for deals on sliders, front lift kit items, winch/winch mount, bed mat, and any number of other items. Did I mention I LOVE bargains?

I applied Fluid Film with a brush since I don't have access to a lift or compressor. I then used the spray cans with the 360 degree nozzle to coat the inside of the boxed section. This is exactly the reason I extended the AC drain. I didn't like that the stock design basically funneled water into the boxed section of the frame.

Got the wheels facing forward and the steering wheel straight again. First alignment since taking delivery.
