Raised Beltline/Door skins?

    So, I think it is safe to say that the rear door skins on the 2016 are SLIGHTLY different from the 2015 model. See images I took at my local dealer below. I have also read about the beltline being raised on the 2016. I am trying to figure out what they mean. Beltline looks the same to me.
    I guess if Toyota slightly modified the front and rear door panels they can say the sheet metal is "all new". Although, the access cab doors look identical to me too. Anyone more enlightened than myself?

    Look the same to me. Wish they hadn't put the ugly black plastic between the windows....anything to save money I guess.

    I think the uptick is slightly more dramatic in the 2016.

    The black plastic between the windows is actually a vinyl wrap on the posts. It can easily be taken off and is painted underneath the same as the rest of the truck just like the 2015 picture. It wasn't a money saving feature, it was for aesthetics.

    Does seem that they've changed something at least on the fronts anyways. Tried to fit 2015 AVS ventvisors and that was a no go. Rears seemed to fit though.
