    hey guys quick question, I used 80-90 in rear diff because I couldn't find 75-90 any issues with this. Tia non limited slip rear

    One can never have too many light bars.
    80W-90 is what alot of heavy duty trucks and semis use. If anything it may work better.

    That small a variance on viscosity won't matter too much. More importantly is using the proper GL rating. Hopefully you did that.

    Thanks for the replies guys. I used valvoline 80-90 it said gl-4 gl-5 compatible which I found strange because when I looked up gear oil meanings I thought one had more sulphur than the other and could cause problems with brass parts so still a little confused. I'll google it again. Thanks again

    AFAIK there are no brass wear parts in your diff.

    The GL4 GL5 and brass issue revolves around transmissions and syncros, which are brass.

    Many manual transmissions (at least of the past) called for GL4, with the diff on the same vehicle for GL5. For those of us with transmissions of that type, it can be challenging to find a 'pure' GL4, at least OTC.

    Your diff should be just fine with what you have in it.
