BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Maybe a fuel pump relay

wifes suv had similar problem. No check engine light but would stall for no reason then not re-fire/ then like a switch was thrown would be fine for days... then same thing. Replaced MAF sensor, TPS, Crank sensor, fuel relays, fuel pump and on and on and every time they opened the engine of course the timing belt just because they were in there. Finally gave up 3,500 dollars later in various repair tries and mechanics saying "drive it to Alaska your fixed" only to have it die again. My vote now is when the ghosts show up, try and figure it but cut your losses at some point.

nope, never took it to the same one twice since that would be my first guess too. Three stealerships and two "great" good ole boy shops local.

When you say it starts and dies does it run for a second, seconds, or die as soon as you release the key switch? Hot or cold engine or both first start of the day or after running awhile?

Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve. Easy cheap to replace. Replace it or you will begin to burn and or leak oil.

Clearly not as clear as I think I should. Lol.

Technically my question is correct though. No one asked the question. Obviously because it was answered prior needing to be asked.....

I should grab another cup of coffee before I start asking anymore questions.....lol.

Still all in on the fuel filter/pump combo. 8 years and 172k miles on the same filter....it's well to the point of saturation of contaminants. 15 - 20k miles will show copius amounts of contaminants depending on where the fuel is purchased.

Hey i have a 2008 in canada as well and i have a similar problem, not sure if its the same as yours. The problem for me started when i would leave the key in the ignition for a couple hours with the truck unlocked. It would start fine and run for 5 seconds then die and would not restart until i got out of the truck, locked it, then unlocked and tried to start it again. Then it would start up just fine and wouldn't happen to me for a couple weeks. I believe its a security thing because a month ago i switched to using my spare key which i never used before and the problem hasn't come up again. Hope this might help!

A vacuum leak would throw a code. Clean the mass air flow sensor and disconnect the battery for 30 minutes or so. I would also think throttle position sensor would also have a code. I know on my blue driver I can check various systems including throttle position so hook up a scan tool and go to work. Could get lucky.
