    I am definitely, 100% in for this trip. I have the 6th requested off.. will have my new RTT and gear.. and after surviving Elvis.. I'm ready to go!!

    I would PREFER the early group.. I know the wife would prefer to get there earlier as well, but I am also flexible.

    You don't want me to lead a group on that route, it would take me a week to get there (and a few tanks of fuel). Shit, I get lost coming home from the mall.

    Another suggestion might be to start a bit earlier? I know this means getting up earlier (and I start in Glendale), but this would mean to camp earlier and more daylight if there are any breakages, it is getting dark pretty early these days...

    ^^^THIS^^^ let's not jump the gun here with two groups

    I can say confidently that I don't have the experience to lead a 2nd group through there. I don't have a CB or any radio and my personal experience driving off road is at 12 hours max right now. I was co-pilot in March an remember quite a bit, but honestly by the end I was hammered drunk. And unless I can get massive amounts of over time and get some goodies put on the truck I probably won't go the 4x4 way :( fingers crossed though! I am still trying.

    the problem is, the output needs to be better. I tried with just a speaker, then a small inline amp, and as though it did amp the sound, its still not great. I will either be swapping in an actual like 200w amp, or just ditching it completely.
