    Hey guys

New fixing to be owner of a 2009 TRD Tacoma Sport lifted 6" with 3 " body on 20" 37's. The truck does not have oe hitch. I am looking for hitch options and suggestions. Can I simply bolt one in and have no gaps? I am new to this part so don't flame me too hard. I have searched some and haven't really seen much, but also wanted to introduce myself. I am very hands on and do anything. So if fab work is required so be it. Just looking to see what others have going on out there.

Not looking for the old school cheap body lifted no bumper relocated look with my hitch. If this is the case I will remove the body lift and drop back to 35's before looking like crap.

    Thanks.

p.s. Love the site already! Nice.

K&N drop in, flowmaster 40 dumped before rear axle, 20% tint up front. 3 inch fat bobs coilover. Rear aal and zone shocks. LR UCA. 1.5 inch rear block. CBI moab 2.0 front bumper with wrap around guard. Smittybuilt 9500lb winch. URD short throw shifter.
Most will probably say remove body lift to rid yourself of gap. I think that's your best bet too.

    Welcome to the family!!

I would say just buy a cheap hitch (like a Curt, or other big name brand) and bolt it on. Fab to your liking from there. I'm guessing you wont get many folks who are running similar setups. The general consensus seems to be the body lift is a weak point, so not many do them. I have read of a few on here breaking the extended bolts. As long as you don't wheel hard, or get in an accident, you should be good. Post pics!! We all want to see your truck.

Thanks man. 6 speed manual here as well. Lots of good info and people it seems. I'm just getting the truck. Going to get gap guards and black out the frame and rear end is first on my list. Then grill mod of some sort. Might hydrodip it. Not sure yet. I play around with hydrographics so I'll think on that one.

The tow hitch is a part of the frame not body, so it sit at frame height
