through bearing noise/squeak

    Thanks to the great wright up found regarding this issue. I wanted to let everyone know that my 2014 6sp manual started squeaking. (60,000) I had the truck in today to replace the through bearing and took some pictures. toyota still hasnt fixed the problem with the quill. the aluminum is all gouged up. have a look at the pics. the clutch looked OK! and it has the Asian stamp barely visible in last 2 pic's. 20150930_123328.jpg 20150930_123342.jpg 20150930_123446.jpg 20150930_123654.jpg 20150930_123719.jpg

    There is no such thing as a Through bearing.

    The correct name is Throw Out Bearing.

    Did you happen to run though deep water lately? That clutch assembly looks way too rusty for a 2014.

    no deep water. lots of salt this winter though, that liquid crap is even worse they use both in my area. i do drive it on saquish beach.
