Ridable? Yes. Enjoyable? Not really. Sticky means that the snow softens up enough that it slows you down as you ride it. It kind of "grabs" your board a little bit and slows you down. Shit's downright annoying.

Depends on where you ride at. Up in Tahoe it's been a bit warm for the past few days which causes the snow to get slushy during the day and freeze over to ice at night as they groom it and pack it down. I could very well be but apparently there's a storm rolling in friday/saturday so we'll see. Just wax your board really well.

Took these pics from the top Whistler mountain. I'd rather not pay the $80 for digital prints, so here are the proofs lol

I went to Kirkwood on Sunday (yesterday). Saw some other lifted Tacomas up there too. This is my truck in the far parking lot

hey guys does anyone ride at Mt. Shasta? This is my first winter living in Redding and I want to go and at least check it out. I grew up riding at the resorts around Tahoe but never been to Mt. Shasta. I've heard it's descent - comparable to Boreal. If anyone's ever down to go, let me know for sure . I actually got a free pass too.

Wow no current threads on snowboarding....

Anybody else starting to get the itch to hit the mountain!? I am dreaming of my first day out on a semi-nightly basis! Can't wait for the white stuff to start flyin. I'm thinking of buying some new boots this year. Mine are thirtytwos and they are wicked soft. I mostly ride all mountain and stay away from the park, so I am looking for something a bit stiffer. My feet have always hurt when riding and after doing some reading I think that's my problem.

Anyways, last year it rained too much up in north Idaho so I only got out a few times...hoping that's not the case this year! Anybody else stoked for the up coming season??

Most people post in the ski/snowboard thread. Guess that's why this doesn't see much action.

yea I'm hoping for a good season too.

I have a trip to Colorado planned for March 1-8.
Flying into Denver, hitting Loveland, then driving down to Crested Butte for a few days, then Arapahoe Basin on the way back to Denver.
