    Today I saw the largest thunderheads I've seen in many years. They were over the desert to the east.

    Just got this weather alert:

    September 7, 2015 (San Diego's East County) -- A Sig Alert has been issued for state route 78, which is closed from S-2 to Borrego Springs due to a mudslide. Flash flooding is also reported on 78 at the Yaqui Pass, the CHP website reports.

    Heavy rains are occurring in desert areas and portions of the mountains due to remnants of Hurricane Linda; brief downpours, thunderstorms and lightning are likely to occur according to the National Weather Service

    how is nobody talking about the situation in mexico? just read patricia is the strongest hurricane ever recorded, and its making landfall tonight. 200+ mph winds. I'll be watching the weather channel tonight.
