    It's long beds and something else. I have a DCLB off-road ordered since August and don't have a build date yet either.

    My dealer got me a OR AC LB in MGM with zero options (not even towing). Dealer said no problem, whatever I wanted would take 6-8 weeks. Ordered late August, have a real VIN, and it's scheduled to be delivered next week. This configuration has to be very rare. How did the dealer manage to do this? I don't know, but I think it might have something to do with his being one of only 4 dealerships nationally to have received Toyota's president's award for 29 years running.

    I have seen 3 4x2 a access cabs at the lot. 4x4 does not last long and seem to be sold before they arrive

    If the dealer has that vehicle already allocatted to them then it is easy to remove all options. Its call preferencing.

    Hey letsgoplaces, im in TN, I just got my build date of 11/3 for a OR crew cab quicksand with the JBL. They said I could have already gotten the same truck without JBL. What's with the JBL option pushing everyone back? Also if I have a build date now, could it get pushed back as well?

    OK, didn't know that. I'm curious though, how much do these internal awards for dealerships matter? Does Toyota give awarded dealers more choices and options?

    @Aspie83

    It helps a little when we plead to the region for more inventory but nothing like, if we have this award we earn extra this or that.

    Any chance you could post regional build information for Pennsylvania?

    Thanks for the answer. Funny, my dealer gave me the impression he could get anything at all.

    So I said: Is Toyota doing builds to order? I've had conflicting information as to whether or not they do that, which is actually one of the reasons why I ended up with my 2015 rather than waiting for a 2016.

    Dealer said: Yes sir, we do them all the time. That is the only way right now with the Off Road Tacoma. That also why I have to give you a 2-4 month range because of the high demand.

    So really what I'm being told is "in 2 - 4mos, there should be one coming down the pipeline with what you're wanting. we will snag that one. hopefully."

    Is that correct?

    Yeah I'm pretty sure that's how it works. They don't send your build sheet to the factory and queue it up to be built. Toyota builds what they want when they want and sends them out. Dealer just gets in line to claim the next one that is built like you want.

    Chris, does this mean only 8 Off roads in manual tranny are being made for the next 2 months?
