Surprised reading through some of these forums that some people haven't even seen these one on the lot let alone being able to test drive it. Test drove one 2 1/2 weeks ago and there was 4-5 on the lot here near Denver, CO. Went back the next day and they let me take one out for 2 hours by myself (I'm 23) so I was a little surprised. Ordered one last saturday, DCSB OR MGM Auto w/ premium and tech pkg & jbl. Black and Orange interior. EVERY color other than Silver and MGM would have only taken 1-2 weeks to get in. MGM and silver take 3-5 weeks, so probably last week of oct. My sales guy has already texted me 3 times about trucks coming in with all my options, a blue, inferno, and black. All those colors look really good in person, but I'm waiting for my MGM. They sent out the inferno for a lift and tires, which will be back in friday. I'll probably go in a test drive it just because. Probably eventually doing a 3in lift myself.

Yeah my dealer has two in stock now and 13 in allocation for the next two months. I'm in the 4 corners area. They got a blue one in and it is an amazing color, made me almost change from the red but it didn't have the same options I wanted. Hopefully red looks just as good.

Any information on the recall? I have a 4X4 that should be at the dealer in the next couple of days.

2WD DCSB Sport order had a 1 month turnaround from an Austin dealer. Dealer did change an existing allocation to my specs and thus the shorter wait time. I picked up the truck on 26 Sep

I 'ordered' and allocation 'granted' to my dealer 8/17. Tweaks to options made and accepted by the factory mothership by 8/20. This is for TRD DCLB OR +Prem/Tech w/JBL, tow, predator tube steps, all weather floor mats (hedging against weather tech or husky not being ready until well after first snow in CO), sills. color - BBM. Exactly how I wanted it. All that being said, I was trying to find DCLB OR 4x4 which is a very very small % (like 2 or 3%) of trucks being built for sale anywhere - period -and according to Denver dealers we are going to be stealing most of them from you all here in CO. So I had to work the pipeline with the dealer. If i wanted a SB OR it would be over by now and perhaps if I had dropped JBL which I coul have lived with and might have preferred given the loss of storage space. Truck originally to be built 9/17, then 9/11, then 9/26. It was actually built 9/26 and due in 10/5-10/9.

On the JBL, it kills a bunch of space behind the rear passenger side seating and I have gone back and forth on that. In the end I decided I put about 20k a year on my vehicles. Drove my '04 Tundra 200k. On that one, there was similar storage behind the seats and thinking back I only went in there for map books and a few odds and ends. Mostly that storage is a PITA to use so I decided I could live with just the drivers wide being really useful. But YMMV and I am sure there are people who get a lot of day to day utility out of that space.

[edit] and to be fair, if you are asking/ reading - go read up in the Toyota allocation process - its not really an ordering system - the dealer gets granted trucks in allocation based on a points type of system - after that unless they mark the vehicle as sold it is kind of open to demand based trading until it hits a dealer lot and then its still kind of open - but all of this is regional b/c some regions have buying groups ... go read around - takes about 20 minutes to read up on 'toyota allocation process'

    there, that was easy :)

Ordered a TRD OR with a stick Aug 25th, tried to swap that for one of the SR5's my dealer was getting. No go. Never left recycling in their system. Finally was able to get the build approved yesterday by swapping with a stick shift TRD Sport I think. They wouldn't let us switch an automatic for a manual transmission. Build date the week of November 9th and I'll receive it either just before or just after Thanksgiving.

My exact order was a TRD OR DCSB Manual Transmission in Inferno with the Premium/Tech Package, all weather floor mats, and bed mat

Toyota never allocated the truck that I built to our area, so my order is kind of dragging out. It'll all be worth it when I get it though!

So where are the pictures of your truck that arrived 5 days ago?

Also I highly doubt there is a DCLB there. Maybe a sport but no way an off-road.

I picked it up last night and it was dark by the time I got home. I will take some pics later on today and post them.

They had the same truck as mine (TRD Sport) but it was a TRD Off Road sitting on the lot. There could have been others. I did not search the lot.
