Adding an intake will be the same..... Negligible results.. Ya gotta finish it off with headers and a ypipe.

My mileage went up when I installed my Ultragauge. Didn't know what my mileage was before I got it. Now I do.

    It's my sugar pill placebo.

OP I was wondering about the sound in the cab. How is it? Too loud or not much more noticeable? I want one but don't want to sacrifice hearing the radio as these truck are already loud enough inside IMO.

Sounds very nice ......but I'm really enjoying my current quiet cab (hence no TRD exhaust for me).
I like you video. It is actually one very nice demonstration of how the smog pump work. Especially the second part where the air/smoke stream from the pipe is more visual due to less restricted TRD pipe.

I've got the TuRD on mine. Not a bad sound, IMO...but it is on the loud side. I've gotten used to it over the weeks it's been on and rather like it. Windows up, cruising on the highway it settles into a low, faint growl. Certainly does not effect the radio and/or conversation. Windows down during in-city driving might be a different story depending on your definition of loud. I've actually had a couple of compliments on the sound....one from another Taco driver and one from some dude in a Ranger.

I bought mine new and paid $357 for it.

Tacoma: Bone stock down to the air filter....for now..... Supra: Too much to list....
The K&N full cold air intake adds a small but noticeable amount, and the full time bonus is much louder induction sound.

I got a TRD Sport Hood, and that scoop added more RWHP hp than the TRD exhaust does... and it didn't cost me a dime.

I do love my TRD Exhaust, though. It sounds 'just right.' in my opinion.
