Talked to Toyota Canada on Friday, about my refund after I had my driver side leaf springs replaced in Nov.2014. The person I talked to could not give me a time as to when the pay out would happen or to whom I could speak. They did say that all the new leaf springs have to be manufactured and sent out to all the dealers, which means the ones on my Tacoma right now are also defective. That it is going to take some time before the refund letters will be sent in the mail...best guess, Nov. 2017 before I see my 817.00. Now this is Canada and as of my conversation in the spring of 2015, some 47,000 trucks are effected. If you are in this group then you need to make a phone call...1-888-869-6828 (Toyota Canada). It is the dealers discretion whether or not you pay after the repairs are made. Saint John Toyota opted to have me pay, even with my recall letter. Toyota Canada says it is out of their hands what the dealers do. On Friday I emailed CBC/Market Place to file a complaint.
