    New Tacoma questions
So I finally got to go up-country with my new 2015 Tacoma and discovered a few unexpected issues.

It had just over 2500 km on it when I left and I found that whenever I backed up, something I hardly ever had to do in town, it left a burning clutch odour in the air. You do a lot of backing up when you find yourself at a dead end narrow logging road.

The backing up smell quit at around 3100 km. Is that normal?

Then I developed a weird high pitched grinding noise in one of my wheels. A guy passing me slowly said I had a rock stuck behind the heat shield on one of my brake rotors. I backed up and it came out.

Came home, driving almost 1000 km without incident and now at home this morning I got this same tinny grinding noise in the other front wheel. Then it quit. I figure some mud got stuck up there somehow and dried up than when it came loose a little rock got stuck in a similar location.

I've never had a problem like what with a vehicle in my life.

No big deal but that backing up smell worries me a bit.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Michel

Rear brakes need adjustment? (ie - backing off)
    e-brake left on by mistake?

Possible, it didn't smell like clutch.

I've emailed the service lady at the Toyota service place I like.
