i would say steel if you do alot of gnarly rocky trails and offroad all the time. Alu more piece of mind for occasional trails and less hit to mpg, handling etc.

Anyone here used the Fumoto oil drain valve with their RCI skids? I haven't crawled under the truck to measure yet. Just curious how easy/difficult accessing the Fumoto valve might be if you wanted to do an oil change WITHOUT removing the skid plate.

Considering the Fumoto F-103N (with the full size nipple) so I can attach a vinyl tube/hose in order to prevent any oil from splashing all over the top side of the skid plates.

Curious if the brackets not having a clean mate is normal on a 2012 Sport. I kept everything loose before tightening down, but I still have between 1/4 and 1/2 of an inch of space all around. If I torque them all the way to close, the bolt wants to start bending.
