2007 4x4 - Weird 4wd problem o_O

Hey guys,

Having a strange 4wd problem.

It has always worked well....and then a few months back I put it in 4 Low to pull someone out of the sand at the beach. Worked fine. Put it back in 2wd. A few minutes later the guy got stuck again....so I went to put the truck back in 4wd and Nothing. No blinking light, no 4 high or low....no sounds of anything engaging....just nothing.

Tried it over a couple days and still nothing.

Took it to the dealership and they gave it back to me and said its working fine. I tried 4 high a few times.....and sure enough no problem.

Used 4 high a few times over the past month and everything is great.

Today I used 4 Low for the first time.....and Boom! Same issue....once I go come out of 4 low to 2wd everything goes dead. Now I don't have a working 4wd again.

I always engage while stopped and in neutral. And I always let 4 high engage and pause for a moment whenever I go into or out of 4 Low to/from 2wd.

Any ideas?

hmm.... does turning the truck off completely (key out of the ignition, waiting 10 seconds then turning back on, solve the issue?)

 

Nay. Tried turning it off, going inside for 10 minutes. Came back out and still nothing. That's what I thought at first too....maybe the the computer needed to reset or something.....but to no avail.
