    Also, I spoke to the guy who I saw in Pismo. He had gone back into town for a brand new coilover. He's got a block lift up front so when they hit a whoop at the bottom of a dune, the suspension compressed and the shock bottomed out, breaking the lower attachment point of the shock.

    Note: whether you do a suspension lift or block lift - you have to modify (extend) your bumpstops! Using shocks as bumpstops is a nono.

    True story about traffic, it sucks to go down there. Truck is at the shop getting looked at today.

    Funny thing, yanking my brother's jeep out of the dunes looks like it may have straightened things out...which would be bad for the insurance claim haha but I guess I can say I want a new bumper and do a payout?

    Yay! Turns out the frame isn't bent again - the other car just rattled the bumper bolts so it bent. They'll readjust it for free. The person that hit me is getting SO LUCKY - he was fresh out of prison, no driver license or insurance (the car was his sister's who was going to say she was driving in order to have insurance cover it). They asked if I wanted to claim the bumper but I called karma points since it's the bumper that was already hit before and said no. All is right in the world.

    Well that was an interesting commute. Blue skies DT and shitting rain + lightning + thunder from los carneros north. So glad I didn't finish sealing the holes I drilled in my new toolbox... for the two compressors sitting in it :frusty:
