I did tighten from the center out. I think I'm just going to pull them off and go back to stock. Along with the leak I am also having a issue with my exhaust rubbing on the drive shaft carierr support. It does not rub when the exhaust is cold. Once the headers and ypipe get up to temp it starts to rub. Cold I have about 1/2in clearance. I will take some pics so people can see what I'm talking about.
The passanger header is also rubbing on the shock/coil tower

I have the URD Rear Stimulator since I run Doug Thorley long tube headers. I only run one set of cats, I've never thrown a code...Thankfully

I'm not saying don't go with UDR. Chances are that 95 out of 100 will be fine. You will always get the % that are flawed. I seem to just be the lucky one that got one of the flawed ones
    Here are a few pics.
One showes the header on the passanger side where it rubs the shock/coil tower.
The other pic shows the exhaust when it's cold. I will post a pic after work showing how the headers and ypipe once hot cause the exhaust to rub. This only started after installing the udr parts.

If it was me, I'd loosen everything up and tighten back down, just as a sanity check and since I wouldn't want to go back to stock before I tried everything I could first.

I got the headers off yesterday after work. Funny only took me about 2.5 hrs to get them off. My friend machined the flanges this morning. Said he had to take off 010 thousandths on the passenger side. The drivers side was fine. Its not a lot but I believe it was enough to cause the leak and trip the check engine light. Time will tell.

In hind sight I should have just had the flanges machined before I put them on. I have done it with every manifold/header in the past. Don't know why I did not do it to this set.

Also I don't want this to per-sway anyone away from UDR headers. This is just one of those things that happens some times with after market parts. I like to refer to them as nearly fit.

I think I read before that URD uses mild steel flanges. Their reasoning was a bit suspect imo.

I got every think back together and running. I can't hear any leaks. I drove it around for a about 50miles. So far 2 check engine lights. Both PO420 :notsure: it's not doing as bad as last time. But still doing it.

I have yet to hear back from UDR.

Do you have other mods recently done on your truck? Like CAI?

This all started after the install of the udr headers and ypipe.
I'm getting PO420 bank one catalyst.

    Yeah i know,

Just asking cause sometimes the problem can come from an other mod but the new mod put you out of the acceptable margin of error taht generate the signal.

You said you removed the headers, did you install new gasket between the headers and the Y-pipe flange?

Yes I had 2 sets of ypipe to header gaskets. One set came with the headers and the other with the ypipe. So when I pulled the header and had the flanges machined then reinstalled them I installed new header to ypipe gaskets
