I just purchased the same Pioneer radio and had some questions regarding installation. Did you do the install? Is it paired with an iPhone? Did you retain the steering wheel controls? Did you install the USB cable to the factory USB dash location?

Yea me and a buddy installed it. Its hooked up right now for Android Auto, my truck doesn't have the steering wheel controls tho. Also, I bought a universal USB adapter cable from best buy and I recessed it in the cubby near the cup holder location

It looks fairly straight forward an install. I may try to do a series of still shots to help others.

Yea it's straight forward, I installed it before I joined TW so I dont have any sequence pics. Congrats on the buy, one of the best headunits on the market! The NEX touchscreen functions with pinch and swipe like a smart phone. Let me kno if you run into any trouble, goodluck

Thanks Cody. I looked at a lot of different head units and this one, although very expensive, looked like the best one out there with endless features. This is my daily driver but I'm 68 and retired and live alone up here in Canada so I have money to spend and nobody to support. As a consequence I can indulge myself from time to time. I know I'm going to really enjoy the navigation feature on a 7" screen instead of my Garmin GPS held in place with a suction cup on the windshield. The whole hands free phone feature is way better than the OEM system using the steering wheel buttons. This is like having an iPhone with a 7" screen on your dash. How cool is that?

Yea man, very cool! Like you, I did a lot of research before spending a lump sum. Seems like you got a gorgeous truck there to support and take care of
