Mine's a couple years older (2010), and got hit and run once (tailgate, rear taillight, rear bumper damage; although we caught the person; long story) and was rear ended (minor bumper damage only) right after the hit and run. o_O

^That made me sad. Great picture, though!

As far as the ride goes, compared to the stock o-rings these are fantastic! The only times I've truly felt the power loss were on the 73 toll road in CA & the mountain roads on I-5N, in Oregon. I'm pretty sure it's the gearing setup that holds it back, though... 2WD is useless in winter, here...

At least it was fixed and paid for by the other party in both incidents.

As far as my own experience with the larger tires, after 750 miles on them, I have noticed 2MPG less than before with the stock tire size. Also, the uphill power loss is noticeable for me. Not that big a deal for me, but does take getting used to since my truck is responding different that it used to.

Finally pulled the trigger and got some 235/75 Goodyears on the stockers put on last Friday. I was actually leaning more towards 225/75 because of the power loss concerns, but none of the Americas Tire near me had them in stock. I can feel the added sluggishness but only when going up hill, but it's not bad. Even with the stock tires I felt the truck was already sluggish. New tires fill the fenders better now and their wider width make them almost flush with the fenders. In the future, I may buy wheel spacers to push the wheels out more, but for now, I'm happy with the setup.

htioki -- almost the identical same setup and experience as you -- new Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S 235/75/15s put on today. Slightly noticeable reduction in speed but ride quality is better and look is much improved, so it's a trade-off I'll gladly accept:

This is what a 33/10.5-15 looks like with my mini 1.75" lift. Nothing rubs but too much for my taste.

Just picked up new Michelins LT MS2 at Sams club, 235/75/15, on sale now for $117.28 - $70 discount when you buy 4, you gotta bring them your wheels only since it's not the original size their policy do not allow them to install the 235/75 for the base 4c Tacoma, it totally transformed the truck, it actually looks like a truck now, I just bought this truck, drove home from dealer and first thing next day installed tires, like somebody said here " I'm too vain to drive around in those tiny ass wheels..." It feels nice driving it, it's Michelins...but I wanna thanks all the folks here that shared their experience and helped me make that decision, I wanna keep my good mpgs number 1 reason I bought this truck so no lifting or bigger wheels for me, next in the near future it's going to be 15" black alloy rims, thanks ya'll.

I boosted mine from the modified mini lift I built of around 1.75" to the full 3" spacer lift, plus 1" body lift. I shoulda Just done this in the first place.... Here it sits on Cooper AT3 31/10.5-15...

And this is a 235/85-16 on a universal hub centric $43 wheel from jegs or summit. I forget at the moment. Same +45mm offset and I'm using a 1.25" spacer already on each hub... Tire only on Driver side front. No clearance issues.

That 235/85-16 brought the truck up nearly another inch.
