Id say some probably don't, or some prefer the 2nd gen and are taking advantage of the rebate and low interest deals.

Some will, but Toyota hasn't really advertised the 2016. I'm sure more than a few trucks were sold to unsuspecting buyers who will only learn of the 2016 once they see one during their first oil change.

Exactly. I know there are trucks on lot as we speak in Alberta but it sounds like they are being hidden away until the 15th. So it's a hard launch date.

So dealing with automatic 4x4 models it appears the SR5 jumped $2075, TRD Sport jumped $1880, TRD Sport premium went up by $1050 and the LTD jumped by $4330. I wondered why the TRD Sport premium ONLY jumped by $1050, it looks like it now does not include leather which is like a $1500 value. I think these prices are too much for a new model year in my opinion.

I did the math earlier, but it looks like it was because of the readjustment in price a few years ago in 2014 when the Sport package gained two extra levels acted as somewhat of an early bump in the TRD Sport price that kept it from flying up during this adjustment for the 2016's.

$1880 plus most likely higher interest rates makes for a fair bit more total cost of a 2016. Let's hope my (or your) dealer is ready to negotiate.

Maybe to some, but they are still going to sell like hotcakes. Really with the updates they've made and the current value of the Canadian dollar I'm surprised it wasn't a little more, but I think Toyota Canada knew they can't have the Tacoma pushing $50,000.

I didn't realize the 2015s had leather, I'm alright with adding aftermarket leather though. I didn't like the concrete grey and I'm not a fan of the brown in the 2016 Limited's. This way I can choose the colour I want!

Just had pricing confirmed from my dealer, $46,748 OTR. That's taxes, levies, delivery and all the other BS.

DCLB 4x4 TRD Sport Premium Plus package.

Adds moonroof, Qi charging (useless for my iphone) and the blind-spot monitoring w/ cross traffic alert to the TRD Sport.

Edit: Sorry it's now called the TRD Sport Upgrade

Sterdog. He is in BC so he's paying more Tax. Here in Alberta it works out too 44563 with all taxes and levies added in.

    Yup, full 12%.

They did give me $700 off, so I mean that was awfully nice of them. And that's only cause I play hockey with the Sale Manager every now and again!

Still, I have an acquaintance/friend who knows a friend who is wheeling and dealing on a 2016 right now. I know it sounds like a lot of people but I trust the source. They say $44K is what they will have to pay to get a TRD OR OTD, but I'm trying to firm up that it's not a mistaken TRD Sport or something else causing that price.
