I have the same experience with anything shipped from TX. It always takes several days to a week before it leaves a post office and goes to the next. Lord help me if it goes to two post offices in TX, that'll take weeks.

I had this plan to come home from work and be a lazy couch potato. After a day of staff meeting and budget meetings, I needed to decompress.

    Hmmmm.

So that plan changed. When I got home, a can of wax started speaking to me. Then a bottle of Rain-X joined the conversation..... Apparently none of the voices in my head can say no.

Durability and reception from what I've read and been told. Who knows...but I like trying out new things on the truck. But I have a reason to try something new out now.

    No mods whatsoever!
I just installed a Firestick II on my Taco. 3" shorter than stock, same radio reception. It does flex at highway speed, but the spring did its job. Held up like a champ. Very happy with it.

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
Nothing major, just swapped out the original bulbs in the Map lights as well as the Dome with "cool white LED's" looks great too! (should have done this a long time ago)

I think I would call or email Toyota, not the dealer, and ask about the deductible.

I used the grey rustolium flexidip. Here's a better pic with the skid.
