Anyone with a '15 non JBL Head Unit - have you noticed if the side buttons illuminate or not? Mine do not light up at all so I wanted to know if this is the norm or not

Yeah I asked about it on another thread. I added a amp and subs behind my rear seat. And rather than cut my stock speaker wires I got a harness to tie in my LOC. They a re supposed to light up, mine don't because of my setup.
I was gonna fix it but I'm getting an aftermarket head unit anyway so eff it
