    From what I've read the sensors are not in the actual mirror but I could be wrong

    Do you have parking assist? Parking assist will make a beeping noise when something comes close to your car when you have the vehicle in reverse. BSM is built into your side mirrors and there are sensors on your rear bumper. It's a little picture that illuminates on your side mirror when cars are in your blind spot.
