With the 285s did you have to trim a lot?

I haven't trimmed yet, removed my front fender flares and need to do the cab mount chop. I will be trimming the fenders though, rubbed a little this weekend while off roading

Oh okay cool.. Was wondering if they were enough to rub.. Looked on tire calculator and didn't see too much more than 265 St maxx

I wanted those tires so bad but when I saw the price I about pooped. My local shop wanted 290+ each for them and I ended up finding (5) 285 ST Maxx's 4 with 10k miles and 1 brand new locally for 600 bucks and I couldnt pass that up. I am looking forward to a long term review. These will be my next tires unless they end up making a 255/85/16.

gotcha yea, after off roading today, I will need to trim my rear fenders too. Rear fender flares popped off of some of their clips see picture below

That's a steal! I will definitely have a review on them in 20k mi or so

Glad to see this thread. I plan on getting these in a couple months. Just can't decide on 315/70/17 or 305's.

I've heard nothing but positive on these tires.

Agreed for an E rated Mud tire there is probably only one other tougher tire out there, the Toyo Open Country MT. But the Toyo weighs 10lbs more per corner, so as far as strength to weight ratio, this Cooper STT pro is probably the best option. This will def be my next mud tire...

Although I saw a Colorado with some Mastercraft Courser MXT and they're a pretty good looking tire that's light weight as well. The guy says he loves them and they're barely worn at 20k for $400 less. That's tempting.

I haven't been to any meets I'm down in ft Myers and don't have much time off between a new baby and fishing lol

Well I guess since Mastercrafts are manufactured by the parent company of Cooper Tires, they should be a great tire

Lol I see well congrats on the new baby and tight lines!

Thanks. Yeah all the reviews on them are all positive as well. If there's ever a lazy springs or FL tracks and trails meet I'd hit that up for sure. Ole taco has been a street queen lately

I currently have the Cooper STTs (which is the older version of their mud terrain) and they've been going strong for almost 50k miles so far. Super impressed with them. I was looking at the STT pro as my next set. Sub'd for pictars.

Yeah those original STT wear like iron, and are some darn good tires, I kinda wish I'd gotten them instead of my ST MAXX...
