    Nice!

You have to be the first person in Canada to drive one off of the lot!

I'm ecstatic. Drove it home and absolutely love it. The drive home was along a windy mountain highway, it handled the turns great and felt like it had plenty of power up the hills. I'm very glad I got the manual transmission, especially with all the complaints about the automatic transmission shifting a lot.

I'm also incredibly impressed with the Canadian model compared to the American. We have LED brake lamps and bed lighting, two sets of floor mats, tow package, mud flaps, D-rings and bed cleats all included, Americans are having to pay for all of that separately!

OK! Now they are showing on option to build and price a TRD Off road access cab with the manual trans...and its $400 more than the Double Cab sport.
These would be my top config choices if I could afford a new Taco...ahh hell maybe Ill just bite the bullet and lease one!

ya...but they can get a double cab long box off road...we cant.
they may need to pay for more but they at least get the options. there's tones of options we aren't getting from what I've seen online. Not to mention all that they include, I am sure thats thrown into the price

I don't know, I feel like the truck is worth what I paid and don't feel gouged. To each their own, though!

They do get different configurations, it sucks, but they also have over 8 times our population and therefore more demand so it makes sense to me. I would have bought an off road if I could have gotten it in double cab, though.

Just for the hell of it, I just built my truck on the American website, including the tow package and floor mats (which I would definitely buy even if they weren't included). The price came out to $34,015 USD, which is $43,917 CAD at the current exchange rate, before tax. The price in USD is $2,940 less than my truck cost in CAD, and of course after it's exchanged to CAD it cost $6,962 CAD more than my truck cost.

I think Toyota is actually being pretty fair at the current exchange rate... (Please, no more political posts!!:deadhorse:)

I'll have to go double check, but I think they're red.

Ouch, that sucks big time. Hopefully they can figure they problems out soon!

The one thing I noticed is the DCSB TRD Sport Upgrade Package retails for 37995 and DCLB TRD Sport Upgrade Package (auto Trans) is 40585 so there is a 2950 difference for the bed length and transmission?

American DCLB TRD Sport Upgrade Upgrade (auto) is $38,530 USD (or $49,776 CAD).

I think I screwed up with the manual transmission one, don't remember seeing an option for the premium package (with is the "upgrade" in BC), so should have added just over $2000 for that package, if it were an option down there.

No I was comparing the 37995 (CAN) for your truck retail and 40585 (CAN) retail for mine and the only difference between mine and yours is that I would have the long box and an auto. You can go to the toyota.ca website and price it out.
