I used pay site Hamtestonline for Gen and Extra, but i also had the audio CDs, and book..... i was saturated with the information, just needed new avenue of material exposure. I just got extra but had material since 2012. Life was happening and i kept putting it off..

    Yes.
The City County Councilman who was there helping us get loaded up mentioned to everyone around "Ham Radio Operators are usually the first ones to volunteer during disasters..."

    Found another Ham helping volunteer.

    Yes.
Heil makes a unit for about $120ish (for all the parts)
Depending on the radio you might need an adapter board if you're just using a PC headset. The Mic elements aren't all the same.

I'd suggest building a "radio specific" box that plugs into the mic and ext.speaker jack, and then expose a pair of 3.5mm headphone jacks for headphones and mic. Then any level conversion you need can live in the small project box.

Which is a long way of saying. I need more information. Which ham radio are you building an adapter for, and what kind of head sets do you want to use.

Hi everyone. New to the forums. New Taco owner.

I'm looking for suggestions on where to mount two dual band antennas and one HF antenna without drilling visible holes. I'm thinking of putting an ID880 and an IC706 inside.

Does anyone make custom brackets for any locations on the truck? Mine is a 2012 DCSB with a cap. I've searched through some threads, but I haven't found much.

    Thanks!

Relentless fab and cbi make hood mount brackets, I think there is one more company but not sure who. And Bay Area Metal Fab (BAMF) makes a mount that goes in between the tailgate and bed side that works with a cap.
