Getting engine vibrations from 700-850 rpm (just slightly above idle). Doesn't matter what gear I'm in which makes me think it's not driveline related. After doing some searching I'm thinking potentially bad motor mount or maybe an issue with the A/C compressor. I'm really no guru when it comes to diagnosing issues, so I'd love to hear your input.

Vibrations are moderate and at idle are non-existent. Once you get above about 850 or so they go away as well.

I get the vibration in all gears, including neutral (I'm an automatic), but only when the rpm is slightly above idle (700-850 rpm). I don't believe it to be drivetrain related.

Completely rpm based. A/C on or off. Pretty much rules out the compressor. Happen in any gear.

Correct. If I hold the brake (so the truck isn't moving) while in drive and just give a little bit of throttle to get the truck in the correct RPM range, I get the vibrations. Same thing in neutral.

haha.... that exact thing happened to me the other night.... *head bang against wall*

Id check motor mounts. Maybe get a wooden dowel so you can use it as a cheap stethoscope on various spinning parts of the motor.

    You got video?

A slight vibration between 750 - 850 RPM isn't a high spot on the priority list IMO. Do you even drive at 850 or less RPM.

Def not drive train related and I seriously doubt it is a motor mount. What year Tacoma is it? Engine?

07 with a 4.0. It's confusing to me that it would be in such a specific RPM band

My '13 did that from new until I did the 30k mile spark plug change. I went with Denso in all six rather than the NGK/Denso mix they come with from the factory. You have probably already done this being an '07, but thought it was worth mentioning

It's probably been roughly 30k since I've done my spark plugs...

    Similar rpm range?

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to do ur plugs. I'd also do a throttle body and MAF cleaning. Just to rule those things out...

After a spark plug change, still getting the vibrations, but I would say they're now in the 750-850rpm range now. Still have to do a MAF and throttle body cleaning. Do you guys use specific MAF and throttle body cleaner when doing that?
