What's up everyone? I'm new here. Thought I would share a few photos of the truck I've been waiting on. I test drove it today. It feels so good to be back in a truck. I plan to work hard answering everyone's questions (not that I know more than anyone else already does about these trucks.)
This will make my first Tacoma and second Toyota pickup. My first one was a 2011 Rock Warrior Tundra which I owned for 3 years and sold due to crazy fuel prices and the fact that I moved 60 more miles a day away from work. I recently just sold a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek which I liked as a car.
I went with the Access cab over the double cab because I wanted to save some money, don't have kids, wanted the longer bed, didn't want to wait and I don't have to sit in the back seat. :)

    I'm excited.
Just to clear up a few things I have read on here over the weeks that several people may or may not already know...

I have only driven the truck about 10-15 miles so far. But here are a couple first impressions...

    1) Yes , the truck does have a kind of awkward seating position. To me it seems like the steering wheel should be closer to me for some reason. I do NOT find this to be uncomfortable at all though really. Just different.
    2) I am 28, 6'2", 220lbs and I have plenty of head room in this truck. Not an issue. I can still slouch over and dig my wallet out of my pocket at a drive thru.
    3) The cabin is really quiet.
    4) It has power. It is a far cry from my 4 cylinder Subaru but it's still not a Tundra. If I wanted something that was going to haul ass I would of bought a sports car.
    5) The 7.1" head unit is a lot better than the 6.1" and I can say it's worth the extra money.

The dealer had to do a trade for this truck and they put about 450 miles on it today for me after driving it back to Ohio from Tennessee. The old man that was driving it back on the interstate doing around 65-70mph was averaging 20.8.

A couple of things I plan to do in the future:

Window tint, 3" lift, maybe 285/70/17's, lose that grey grill. Might paint it black.
Try to buy color keyed outer rear bumpers if it doesn't cost a fortune later.
Maybe add a little 8" powered subwoofer to try to regain some of my youth. :)

Congrats on the truck. I'm sure you could find someone to trade bumpers with you in the barter section. Many folks prefer the chrome bumper.

Thanks! That would be nice. I'll give it some time until the new wears off.
Chrome is for lowriders and old cars. lol
I think all the color keyed bumpers have sonar. Am I right or wrong about this?

You are correct. TRD packages with Prem + Tech come with color keyed bumpers.

Congrats OP! Superwhite is the best color IMO.

If you want to save some money, get the black rear corner bumpers that come on the base SR with the utility package. Then you won't have to get them painted, so should be pretty cheap. Plus it will look fine since you have lots of black trim with the TRD OR.
