2015 2.7 MT engine power when heat is on

I turn the fan for the heat to halfway, and I swear the engine sounds like it's going into a slightly lower gear and can feel it slow down. Whassup with that?

 

Is the defroster or recirc on? If so, the AC compressor will cycle.

 

Hmm... The fan selection switch is set on defrost/heat. That's it? If so, why? Never seen that in a vehicle before. AC yes, heat of any kind, no.

 

no mater what you have the temp dial set to, if you have it on feet/defrost or defrost only it will turn on the AC compressor to de-humidify the cabin.

There is a simple mod you can do to over ride this.... i dont have the link but search for AC off with defrost mod.

 

It's to remove humidity which clears up a foggy windshield.
