SR5 or TRD Off-Road, well worth the extra cost?

I'm buying my first Tacoma. First 4WD pickup as well.

I'm planning on using it as a daily driver, going camping and occasionally hauling my dirt bike up into some mountainous areas on dirt roads, fire roads and maybe even some snow.

The 4WD double can long bed SR5 with the appearance package is already more cash than I wanted to ever spend on a new vehicle. But in my area (according to true car) you can get a TRD Off-Road for 1700-2000 more.

The only additional features I'm concerned about that the TRD offers are the: multi-terrain select, the electronic locking rear differential and the Crawl Control.

I won't ever do any serious off-roading in this vehicle. Are these features a major advantage for anyone not planning on any serious off-roading? Are they worth the extra money for someone like me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got a long bed 4x4 sport. 2015 traded a 2014 pre runner short bed in. Hated the SB. Both are double cabs. I haul 2 full size MX bikes. Gear gas ect. The short bed had me using my trailer that killed the gas mileage.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
I've posted on this before. If you plan to mod your truck then the SR5 is better bet. Don't throw your money away on an OR TRD. However, if you want a factory vehicle that you'll never plan to modify it's a solid off road package, the OR TRD.

    You decide.

I got one, the OR TRD, because I didn't plan on modding. Now $14k later in mods I have buyers remorse and wish I'd just gotten the SR5. But that's just my story.

I test drove a loaded White DCSB 4x4 SR5 today and a MGM DCSBOR 4x4. The SR5 wasn't a bad truck but the overall feel in the cab was a bit Spartan compared to the Off Road trim. The seats and ride was nicer in the Off Road. Definitely going to hold out for the Off Road. $3k or $4k extra likely isn't going to make a break you if you're already dropping 34K on a vehicle IMO and the resale value cannot be any worse with a loaded OR vs the SR5 down the road....
