Sounds like you've got a good thing going. Oh yeah I look forward to it down the road, it'll be all built and then take them camping and all that and shooting and teach them to fish. It'll be good. In the mean time we just work and try and build while drooling over everyone's builds on TW lol I think mid to late 20s will be ideal for us, we've gone to I think 4 baby showers this year

Enough of this baby talk. Angie wants one bad enough as it is, but I won't let her til I find out about my career.

Lol camera. The bokeh on the tailpipe pic looks really nice. I usually just use a prime 50 for truck pics. I'm a Pentax guy.

She will get you soon enough. They always do.
Hell my wife was tired of waiting, she is in nursing school and still wanted to have one. Asking her how studying is going while her head is buried in the toilet is pretty entertaining however ;)

I've got a Canon T5i with an 18-55mm kit lens and a 50mm prime lens. Rather new to the whole photography thing. Want to get good truck pictures , unsure if I need better lenses or better camera :/

I like the 50 prime for trucks just because you don't generally have allot of time, especially with a group to frame your shots. It's just simple and quick.

    1.4 or 1.8? I believe I've got an inexpensive 1.8 STM lens

Ah okay, i'll have to look into that. For truck pictures probably one of the best lenses to get i'd think. Not working too much with zoom and all that

I think the T5i can be compared to my D3300, its a decent camera, these cameras on the lower end of the DSLRs are the entry level, so the lenses and camera you have are fairly decent. Ive taken sadly thousands of photos with my kit lenses and a lot of them are very good quality photos. This 35mm Prime was the first separate one I bought and its awesome. Didnt think id really like the fixed length, but I think I like it better than my zoom one lol

my 35mm Prime is nice, im liking it so far

Well I suppose I'll get some practice then with what I've got before moving up to the higher models, kind of interested in Nikon as well as people always bicker about the Canon vs Nikon and all that lol. I thought it was some kind of technical speak "bent lens" but I'll grab a zoom lens and a 35mm prime and play with them for a bit I guess and then of course 9 dollars a month for the adobe package right now helps

start getting to know how to use Manual Mode on your camera, SO much nicer than Auto. I can adjust any setting I want and get the photo to the way I want. I like my Nikon so far, but i see the whole "Cannon vs Nikon" thing like Fox shocks vs ICON shocks...they both do the same damn thing and perform relatively the same, one has different aspects over the other......but both accomplish the task the same way. I have Lightroom 6 that im "subscribed" for from Adobe. But ya....when I meant, I meant bent haha. damn tripod leg kicked in and it was at its smallest setting, 10 at night and i guess I didnt see the leg kick in and I set the tripod down and before I even realized it, then camera took a nose dive into the ground and the telescoping part of the lens got bent at an angle lol....pissed about it...but luckily that is a cheap kit lens, so i can find refurbished ones for $85 online. which is nice unlike the $440 price tag on this Tokina 11-16mm lens im looking at lol

Damn, I only have a few so I'd be lost lol I feel like I have to actually build my truck fully before taking all these pictures though stock pictures aren't that fun. I got a few good shots of other trucks at the past meet up at Hardrock, then there was the guy with the $1k drone who pretty much shot a commercial. I guess with everything else it is built up in time. Great shots by the way and the build too
