I bought and installed these Raptor 5" Black Ovals from RunningBoardWarehouse. Install was mostly smooth. I did manage to have the driver's side bar slide off the rails and land on my head. And I was short 1 locking-washer. But I won't blame them. I could easily have sent it flying somewhere in my garage.

I chose these based on color and width. I drive my mom around on her errands and these will help her get in the truck much easier. And I thought they looked aggressive.

*Note: they fit without issue. The instructions in the box list these as 2005-2013 model.

Nice truck there ... looks mighty fine. Do you actually need to use a step to get into the truck with stock suspension?? I know Mom does but do you?? I've got sliders on the way so I'm interested in how these work for you.

I'm 5'11" so no issue for me. But my 5'6" wife just tried them out and commented it's much easier to get in now. And my 7 year old just jumped up and down on them saying they were fun.

My only concern is I often wear dress slacks for work. I can see myself trying to step straight onto the pavement when exiting the vehicle and getting the back of my pants dirty.

Yeah I'm 5'11" too and I'm probably right at that height where I can slide in and out no problemo and hoping my new nerf bars will not get in the way...and help my shorter fams.

You bought a 4x4 TRD Off Road and installed those Break Over Killing tube steps?

Mine came with the factory 5" oval tube steps. Took them off the second I got home and they are now on Craigs. Can't stand them, always getting pants dirty. And my short 5'1" wife can get in just fine.

Great idea or best idea on TW? Did you pay extra for those?
My wife is 5'1" and she can get it fine, too. She saw the predator steps on a different model and said they were disgusting

I actually added the black tube steps to mine for my wife and kids.. never thought about getting pants dirty though. I also thought they may help against door dings by irresponsible morons out there.

I believe from Amazon. But you can get it Walmart for a better price. It's called the Might-D-Light. Rechargeable, foldable with a folding hangar hook.

Nope. They sold in a couple of days. Interestingly enough, they went to a guy with a 2015. They do fit older models.

They look like they are slightly tilted inward toward the truck, are they?

Since you have has this step bar for a while now, would you say it helps in blocking door dings from others parked closely?

Also $269 Raptor and $229 Iconic look similar, any pref?

Has it helped you to avoid door dings? and is yours OEM steps?

Looks like it sticks out a little more than OEM.
How do you like it so far?
