I would love to see some pics of the 285s on a stock tacoma. If it rubs I could cut fenders a little bit. Need to know exactly how bad

    See Build Page...
Look at the size 285/70r16.. little smaller than a 285/75r16 but it sounds like what you need.

OP , as per your other thread , you will rub and you should include your wheel info cause that will make a difference

I'm actually buying them off a guy tomorrow. The tires are 285/75/16 on Mickey Thompson wheels. That's all I know at the time about them

Do you even drive bro? As long as it's only in a straight line and there are no bumps you are good to go!

    Yes sir
Guys don't run 285's on a stock tacoma because there won't be hardly any room left in the wheel well. Even if you trim the front and rear fenders and clear the UCA's as soon as you hit a bump and your shocks extend and contract your tire is going to nail the top of your fender.

In simpler terms... tire is too big for the truck (stock that is).

This was my truck with 285/75r16's with Bilsteins set at 1.75"... I only put them on for a few days before my full lift came in..
Millertime89 hit the nail on the head..

Maybe he lives his life a quarter mile at a time, and therefore.. no turns.

This. Did all of you know this the first time you bought your Tacoma?
2.5" of lift and quite a bit of trimming to the fenders and a cab mount chop to fit those tires. As OZ said, wheel info is critical, backspacing of 4.5"or less is about right for those tires. To understand all that crap, the rest is on you to read a whole lot in here on the subject you like.
Above 2.5" usually requires upper control arms from an aftermarket source to correct steering issues that arise.
