Un locked toy

I'm trying to plan a Grand Canyon trip some time next year. Want to go out to sublime point , I'm a novice off roader and have a un locked sport . Those that may have been to point sublime , would you please advise me can a person with common sense and patience run this trail and not tear up there first new truck, brush scratches ect.

Is there a Nevada/Arizona thread in the regional section? If so, posting this question there might net an answer as this section moves so fast it may get overlooked.
