I installed my Icon Stage II this weekend, and after installing the rear shocks with remote reservoirs, the ressie hose is too close to the upper shock mount than I'm comfortable with. It's only an 1/8" or so away. Is this something I need to be concerned with? Since there are rubber bushings between the shock and the frame, it seems like there could be some play.

Am I off base? or am I missing something?

Thanks @deeezy .. Bushings appeared to be the same size, top and bottom.. seems weird that it would be that close on both sides..

Maybe the shock bucket is different on a '15.

Possibly.. though yours looks identical to mine.. can't always tell in a picture though. I'll update the thread with their response for future readers.

Have to wonder if the rubber bushings are different size .. didn't appear to be .. and would be a surprise if I coincidentally did both sides the wrong way.. not hard to swap tho if that's the case.

Hey Ron, I installed it the morning of the TW meet, before driving down.

I meant to, but didn't get around to doing it.. too busy drinking beer and eating that wonderful tri-tip sandwich :)

Also only had a couple hours sleep the night before, so I wasn't fully awake.

I bet the bushings should be swapped. It would only take a minute to take them off and double check.

I'm going to try it, but I seem to remember them being the same size when I pulled them out of the bag.. then again I was pretty exhausted.

That grommet looks goofy big but Icon claims it to be so let's move on to the shock tower/bucket...

Was just gonna say the bucket here looks to be a little wider (fatter?) than the other pic...

I have a '15 and mine clear just fine. And I have more threads showing on the top stud above the nylock. I get nervous now because I saw a buddy loose one once while offroading. Luckily the shock didn't come out of the bucket, but the threads got chewed up as the shock bounced around in the mounting hole (we were going fast)... :anonymous:

I stuck with 3 threads based on what I've read in the past, but also the more I screwed it down, the less clearance I had. I have an email from them though with a picture stating it's OK as far as they're concerned.. not going to mod the mount.. but if something happens, I'd expect them to stand by their product and assessment.
