Any suggestions on the best way to achieve 3" lift on a limited budget. Willing to spend some, but nothing crazy. Got a TRD 4x4 OR DCSB M/T and off roading would be mainly sand and some dirt trails. Looking for suspension mods but also any input on a body lift.

I didn't say that's what I was going to use. in his post he said he had a limited budget.
just showing him how cheap he could go.
the stuff I was looking at went over 3k fast, so I stopped looking.
btw I did use a cheap setup for the 87 pickup.

My 2 cents... suspension is one of the most important things on a vehicle... it directly impacts how it rides on all surfaces. If anything is worth spending money on, is it not the suspension? My recommendations are Icon, King, Camburg or Fox.

I went with an OME setup from toytec. Achieved the look I wanted, and the ride is pretty close to stock, albeit a bit stiffer. The only thing I don't like is that I hit the bump stops going over speed bumps unless I'm going about 5mph, whereas with stock I could go 15-20mph with no problems. I guess that's because the OEM struts are the same length as the Bilsteins that came with the OR pkg. So maybe one day I might upgrade to longer struts, but they're fine for now. I spent just under $900 for the whole kit. If your truck is mainly a mall crawler with an occasional dirt trail with some rocks, its pointless, IMO, to spend $3000+ for a lift with reservoirs and whatnot.

Does anyone knows what Toyota uses for a lift/leveling kit?
