    Also a bit of a hello here (first post and all).

    Coming from an 03' Xterra. One simple mod which I loved on the X was a lobo rack. The X had anchor points on the ceiling which you could put D rings (rear anchors) and carabiners (front anchors) to have a shelf which swung down on the D rings when you removed the caribiners. Not the greatest shot but you get the idea of what it looked line in the up/shelf position;

    So today I removed the rear storage inserts and bought a 20x48 closet shelf (same as the lobo rack for the X!) Will use this the same way you'd use molle, and it gives some more freedom for larger bungees/etc.

    Now then on to the dog problem. Have a grown 80lb black lab/border collie mix and a 50lb (and growing) red lab puppy. Ended up purchasing interlocking floor-matts (a nice firm foam but easily cuttable). $40 total, can easily use one seat or the other only and is light/easy to install and remove.

    So anyway, I look forward to all the info and sharing. The X forums were amazing, and I have no doubt the Tacoma forums are any less so. Looking forward to a long run in my new Taco!

    Don't hold it against me if I'm emotional about the Xterra for my first few (ok, many) posts... she was a truly fantastic vehicle. Took it all, never left me stranded or took a single day off. And of course, modded to the fullest.

    But now.... DCLBTRDSFTMFW (thats how it goes, right? hahaha!)

    *DCLBTRDFTMFW. The TRD is an addition to DCLBFTMFW, but we'll let it slide. Welcome to TW.

    Ive got a 70 lb red lab who goes everywhere with me. I bought 15 dollar 'dog hammock' from Ebay. Best 15 bucks Ive ever spent. It keeps her from falling all over the place and keeps all her flying fur well contained.
