    Hey all!

    06 4.0L manual xrunner here...

Im getting that notorious cat rattle on the drivers side and think its about time to replace it as im starting to feel robbed on power.

Truck already has a gates catback which sounds great as is.

Anyway wondering what the good options are for aftermarket cats? Wouldnt mind a high flow set but i want them to be drop in if possible over weld in, and obviously to sound good without getting too noisy!

Or is ot best to just find stock replacements?

    Thank you! :)

Or mayyybe it is the external heat shield on the actual cat that is rattling? Found a possible wire tie fix lol. Mqybe ill give that a try; all i know is there doesnt seem to be any other rattling heat shield.

years ago I had a rattle that seemed to show up at just certain RPMs ... turned out that one of the weld spot on the heat shield had "popped" loose, and a local shop just spot welded it back into place and that fixed the problem ... hopefully yours will be that simple

    cat converters are expensive ...
