Details on the gopro

Anyone have one mounted?
Will any model work?

 

Is there a USB plug up there so that you can use a skeleton case and keep it plugged in all of the time?

Anyone can buy the little sticky mount for like a dollar. I find it funny when toyota preaches the first ever vehicle with standard gopro mount.

There is a usb plug directly under it in the middle console though, a short cable can run straight down

 

I was excited when I saw the gopro feature at the Chicago auto show. I thought the camera was included, not just a mount. Now I'm trying to figure out which one I need to buy.

 

My bad..... It was the dealbreaker that had me sold

 

Tell them to throw in an actual gopro and youll buy from them, otherwise walk and they might take the bait

FYI, a 10' mini USB cable plugged into a USB adapter in the center console box power port, run under the center console, under the glovebox, up and under the A pillar cover, and tucked under the headliner terminates exactly at the GoPro mount. No drilling necessary, completely hidden, and you only need tools to remove the A pillar panel. I have a Mobius ActionCam set on auto loop as a high-def dashcam. It records when the truck is started and stops 30 seconds after turning it off. The wide angle version is on Amazon. You just need a GoPro adapter with a 1/4 camera mount.

 

How's the lo light image quality of that cam?

 

Low light is decent on a lighted road, but not nearly like the GP4 Black. That's the difference between an $85 camera and a $400 camera. Check youtube for Mobius reviews and sample videos.

Clever! My only question is why the hell didn't Toyota run power? Seems trivial enough. Especially after all the PR bragging over a $3 piece of plastic glued to the windshield.

I work at the Sienna, Highlander and Sequoia plant in Indiana. I have no idea what options are put on a truck in Texas or Mexico. I saw the truck for the first time last February at the chicago auto show. It had a GoPro mounted in it, so I assumed it was standard equipment.
