Central California Orders $250 over invoice!

I have been lurking this board for awhile since I made my mind to convert to the dark side from a Subaru. Yes, I have had many moments of internal debate but as amazing as Subaru's have been to me, I started down this road. I have been shopping ALL the dealers from the bay area and in between for over a month now and low and behold, my local dealer cracked! As of today, he will be offering any order in any arrangement with any options at $250 over invoice! Please PM me for the contact info for my guy at Merced Toyota.

I spoke with Greg today at Merced Toyota. He apologizes he has not been able to get back to you. He has been staying extremely busy and does not have enough time in the day to answer all your questions in a timely manner. He is asking that if you want to order or talk, that you please go and see him. Yes, it is actually $250 over invoice, no there are no extra fees attached to dealer. Whatever is the invoice on the truck plus $250. That's it. Then obviously tax,tag, title. -also, you will have to pay CA tax. He will not deal with out of state transfers, etc.

Sorry but not offering any more orders at 250 over. Greg sent me a text today. I am waiting to see what he can can do for the anyone else that has not placed yet

Also, I don't want to talk on the phone. I will only deal via email, text, or in person. California has a verbal contract law but with-consent wire tapping is also illegal here.

 

Eric Are you looking to buy? Too bad you were not near here. There is a dealer here in SC who has sent me three prices on different models. All at Invoice. I used their prices and offered my dealer $500 above to buy the truck locally.

 

I will be in a few weeks to a few months, depending on prices, really. I will not pay msrp and I can wait, so it may be a while.

And also, there are no white 7568 in this state right now

I dont have a problem driving 4 hours to buy the truck near invoice. I was just quoted 5k over msrp to order a 7568 in white by Longo. Noooooooo wayyyyh I told them

I am not anyway related or remotely attached to the automotive sales world. I manage an international flight school out here in the Valley and I want a new toy. I asked the guy numerous times if he would stand behind my offer for others on this forum and he said yes! And yes this is my first post. I have trolled here for over 2 months researching this vehicle. I figured I owed you all a bit of gratitude for all the info I have received on this site. I will post my order tomorrow once they place it.

I understand. I honestly could not even find a 4x4 OR out here to test drive. Had to settle for a SR5 4x4 to try to new 3.5. The next Tacoma they have coming is a 4x4 sport (a month from now) but the pricing is currently only offered on "ordered" vehicles.

That's because they do zero work other than type some things into a computer to get the truck and to sell it. There is a ton of profit to be made selling at 250 over invoice. They get the 250 to pay the internet sales guy for selling a car, they get 3-5 thousand for the price they paid under that invoice number, and they get the 680 as holdback at the end of the quarter. That is a lot of money.

 

Inventory is def going up. Been checking cars.com. I can wait much longer. No MSRP for me

 

Oh wow Merced huh? I bought mine from Modesto Toyota there were a couple of OR 4x4 to choose from...I was also a lurker until I saw this post lol

 

Not bad. I'm looking to purchase around February and plan to offer "invoice" pricing. Hopefully they can swing it once they have decent inventory and the hype has died down.

 

Been lurking for a couple months myself. Was looking everywhere between Tracy and Redding. Toyota in Auburn quoted me $250 below invoice using Costco discount. I placed order last week. Hope to have new DCSBOR middle of next month.

I really don't know what above or below invoice means but I did get mine sticker price out the door so I basically saved almost 4k in taxes and fees...it took a while but I finally got them to budge
