from everything I ever saw mentioned, all those aftermarket door handles and trim pieces are much thinner and weaker then oem and don't hold up over time so while they might look nice and work "ok" they will likely not work as well as oem because they flex more.

shouldn't be a problem but just something to be aware of and things like pull handles often break on you after a while

I replaced my tailgate latch with an aftermarket one and will now go buy an oem one because the aftermarket is beginning to deform and I have to pull harder for it to open. so much for saving money lol.

    Yep what he said^^^

I've replaced my door handles twice now with the cheapo aftermarket ones. They don't fit perfectly, and wear out quickly and break, but they do work for a while. I found the latch mechanism (the one inside the door) as it's kinda hidden and can't be accessed without removing the whole latch (if that's even possible), and lubed the crap out of it. Because that's what gets gunked up over time and causes resistance on the handle making it break)So as soon as I start feeling resistance again, I'll just lube them up again. Not sure I want to fork out the cash for oem ones just yet. But, they will kinda pay themselves off vs replacing them over and over with the crappy ones. I've even thought about coating the plastic arm (the one on the inside of the handle itself that breaks) with jb weld or something to help reinforce it a bit. see if that helps. Idk.

I appreciate that fellas. From what y'all said and the reviews on Amazon, they are definitely not as strong as the OEM ones. I might order some to just try them out, if all goes wrong I'll just put the OEM's back on.
