I have an '07 V6 SR5 (completely stock and rebuilt from the frame rot recall) and lately I've been having this persistent buzz from the engine air intake vibrating against the wheel well. It used to be only a cold-start, cold-ish weather problem but lately it's been persistent in any gear at any speed except when I'm coasting down a hill with my foot off the accelerator. Performance isn't affected as far as I can tell, but it's gonna make me go insane. Anyone else have this problem? If so, what's the fix?

I had same problem. I took the air intake scoop off from the fender and replaced the gasket with some thick weather stripping from Home Depot. I couldn’t find the right size so I bought some a little thicker and trimmed it down to fit. I also cleaned the scoop with break cleaner and used some M77 adhesive spray to hold it onto the scoop as the strip of adhesive that comes on the weather stripping was weak. No more rattle.

    Good luck. :)
