My Girlfriend just became an EMT for SB county so having basic first aid in my truck has become doubly useful.

Came in pretty handy and offers a good amount of trails.
I did laurel lake while up there. Kind of hard to wheel about with 3 others in an access can ha. I'll post some photos tonight when I get on my computer tonight

I've heard that class is great. We were both loving at home this summer so she took the class at moorpark community college. Now she works at the station on UCSB's campus. I wish I was still taking the medical path. Now I'm just about numbers and money.

That trail is beautiful, but it made me nervous most of the time.

Look for my cousin in the terrible herbst pit. I might be there but I doubt it because of class.

I plan to drive down to LA on Tuesday the 17th after work and crash at a friend's house. We'll drive all the way to San Felipe via MexiCali border crossing and MX highway 5 on Wednesday the 18. We'll camp overnight at a friend's place near Pete's Camp for the night. On Thursday the 19th, we'll caravan with the BFG crew to the pit location, set up camp and enjoy shenanigans such as prerunning the course, enjoying cervezas and getting to know the crew. Shouldn't be over 60 miles out of town, but in the middle of nowhere. Race starts Friday and we're over 600 miles in on the course so we likely won't see any vehicles until very late Friday night (midnight or so). Expect to be up all night or with minimal sleep. Our pit may stay open until Saturday night. We'll likely book it back to San Felipe to camp at Pete's Camp again Saturday night, or we'll just camp at the pit area. Jam for the border on Sunday Nov 22. Expect to be back in SB in the dark.

I would recommend taking off Monday the 23 to recover and sleep in even though I'm personally saving up my paid time off for another 10-day Baja extravaganza between Christmas and New Years! We're avoiding the party of Ensenada, but anyone is welcome to go down early and enjoy Ensenada and then drive over the peninsula to San Felipe to meet us. Some of the BFG crew will be in Ensenada to pick up fuel and tires n' stuff.

Another note: if you really want to come, but don't want to use the fuel in your truck - bring a generic car with your camping gear. Since we follow a large box truck which has all the pit stuff, there is no 4x4 or crazy roads to get to the pit area and camp. Just a thought if that's a deterrent. I could drive my gf's civic down, but where's the fun in that?

Ha yeah I can see that. We went with cloudy skies then it cleared up. Then out of no where it started dumping rain. Wasn't too bad. Just kept it in 4lo almost the entire time with all the weight my truck had on it.
